Abstract

From the beginning of the discussion of commercialization of technology in the country's research institutions, regardless of their size and specialized field of activity, the problem that has been constantly faced by the managers of these centers is that despite the many achievements and research results obtained by knowledge-based companies and research institutes; Most of them have not been successful in commercializing and delivering the results of these researches to the final consumer in the market and society and generating a good income. The present research was conducted with the aim of identifying and prioritizing factors affecting the commercialization of products of knowledge-based companies in the field of biotechnology. The statistical population of the research is 19 members of academic staff and managers in the field of commercialization of products of knowledge-based companies in the field of biotechnology and they have a visible work experience. The current research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of data collection method. To collect data, qualitative methods of interviews with experts and content analysis were used, as well as a questionnaire tool for prioritizing factors using the Danp method. The results of the research showed that 6 government criteria, economic factors, legal factors, senior management, project management and organizational factors were identified as effective factors on technology commercialization. Then, these criteria along with 22 related sub-criteria were weighted using Danp technique. Finally, the results of the research indicate the high importance of the role of organizational factors (flexible organizational structure and innovative organizational culture) on the commercialization of the products of biotechnological knowledge-based companies.
