Strategic and open innovation approaches can change the performance of companies and eliminate the weaknesses and drawbacks of traditional approaches. The combination of two variables with performance creates conditions for companies to use innovation to achieve high performance and compete with competitors and survive. Due to the importance of this issue in the present study, the effect of open innovation factors on the strategy and organizational performance of Tehran Municipality (Case study: Tehran Region 1 Municipality) was investigated. This research is applied in terms of purpose and Descriptive-Analytical in terms of data collection. Data analysis and testing of research hypotheses by SPSS, PLS softwares, based on questionnaires collected from 234 managers and experts of urban planning, urban affairs, information technology, finance, planning and urban development as a statistical sample, has been done, the sampling method is completely random and Cochran's formula and the data collection tool is 17-item open innovation questionnaire, 15-item organizational evaluation strategy questionnaire and 15-item organizational performance questionnaire, which has validity and reliability. The results of the hypotheses showed that the production, process and administrative factor with a coefficient (0.116, 0.149 and 0.509) on the strategy and a coefficient (0.172, 0.117 and 0.605) on organizational performance, respectively.

Today, with the increase of uncertainty in competitive markets, innovation is one of the solutions that leads to gaining a competitive advantage and increasing the capability of the organization. In 2003, Henry Chesbrough introduced a new approach called open innovation that enhances organizations' performance. In Iran, the concept of open innovation entered the field of management research in the early nineties. The present study tries to survey previous studies in this field, until at the end of 1399, by using a systematic review in terms of the abundance of studies, scientific journals that published these articles, methods used and areas of research. Based on the results obtained from 110 articles reviewed in the field of open innovation, the number of articles about open innovation in Iran is increasing rapidly. One of the most important methodologies used in this field is structural equation modeling. It was also found that out of 57 journals with open innovation articles, 17 journals published the highest number of articles in this field. In fact, roshd-e-fanavari, industrial technology development, management improvement, and innovation management have the largest number of accepted articles in the field of open innovation. In addition, as research domains, information and communication technology, small and medium-sized companies, knowledge-based companies and universities have received the most attention.

The present study was conducted with the purpose of investigating the Effects of Open Innovations on economic and sustainability innovation performance in MAPNA group Research and Development Units. This research was an applied research type and Conducted in a survey method, the statistical population consisted of managers and experts of the international group MAPNA (manufacturing, industry and commerce). The main field of their activity is contacting R & D of products and services and delivering them to the market. Simple random was used as sampling method; 143 people were estimated as sample size according to Cochran formula. Data were collected using a questionnaire According to the indicators presented in the research by Router et al. (2018). Data analysis and hypothesis testing were performed by SPSS software and smart pls. The results showed that 0.614 of the variables of economic innovation performance variable are affected by the variable of open innovation. Values 0.412 of the variables of sustainable innovation performance are affected by the open innovation variable. Also based on the results 0.342 of the variables of sustainable innovation performance are affected by the performance of economic innovation variables. The present study aimed to analyze the effects of learning orientation on new product development performance with an emphasis on open innovation (Case study: Parmida Rubber Industries company, Semnan, Iran). To this aim, after reviewing the literature in the fields of learning orientation, new product development performance, and open innovation, the conceptual model and research hypotheses were developed. The present study is practical in terms of purpose, cross sectional in terms of time, qualitative in terms of variables, descriptive survey in terms of research design, and causal correlational. The statistical population consisted of 55 experts working in research and development, marketing and sales, and production units of Parmida rubber factory selected using census method. Data were collected using a researcher made questionnaire based on the five-point Likert spectrum. Face and content validity of the questionnaire and its reliability were confirmed by academic experts. Descriptive and inferential statistical tools including factor analysis, path analysis and model fit were used to analyze data, respond to questions and examine research hypotheses. Partial least squares method was used to analyze data in SmartPLS software. Findings indicated that there is a significant correlation between learning orientation and new product development performance. One can confirm that open innovation acts as a mediator in the relationship between attitudes toward learning and new product development performance.

According to the theory of open innovation, organizations are better off to open their doors and interact with their environment to innovate and compete in the market. According to this principle, organizations do not need to do all activities related to the research and development of their products or technologies within the organization, but can collaborate with their environment in this respect. However, observing the environment, identifying all the required technologies of the organization, and even identifying customers to sell the unused technologies of the operating organization is very difficult and less organizationally able to carry out these processes alone. As a result, they need a bridge called intermediaries to link organizations to the environment. In this paper, we intend to check the origin of the intermediaries from the two dimensions of open innovation and markets, as well as the analysis and categorization of intermediary functions in the process of technology and innovation management. Finally, with the focus group method and through experts' opinions, the key function for intermediaries was extracted.

The present research is applied in terms of purpose, qualitative in terms of variable, cross sectional in terms of time, and descriptive-survey and correlation- causal in terms of type. The statistical population consists of all the managers and experts of small and medium- sized manufacturing companies of Semnan city, including units of R&D, production, training, marketing, and market researches. This paper has been done in period of Fall and Winter 1396. Sampling is based on the logic of partial least square with simple random sampling method. Data collection was performed using library and field study method, and with the help of questionnaire. Data analysis was implemented by a multi stage process as follows: components recognition by the related literature, reliability study of the mentioned components by Cronbach’s alpha and CR indices, and KMO index for sampling adequacy were used. Then, for responding to questions and hypotheses, the test of path and correlation analysis were used. In the next steps, confirmatory factor analysis for monitoring the indices in each constructor as well as validity were studied. Finally, all the research hypotheses were confirmed, and it can be said that open innovation has a significant impact on company innovative performance; also the moderating role of market turbulence in meaningful.

The importance of open approach to innovation and its role in firms’ growth and business development has been acknowledged today. There is no review paper in Persian to deal with literature about open innovation. In this respect, the paper tries to study basic concepts, research lines of the past literature and horizons ahead of open innovation which are useful for business managers, students and researchers of related disciplines. Along with the value chain from suppliers to users the open innovation literature has widened during the last decade. It has also considered different contextual factors such as industry type, firm size, organizational culture and structure, etc… This literature has also tried to develop required tools and deepen the process of open innovation from the view point of different units of analysis such as individuals, projects, firms, regional clusters and industries. Analyzing the gaps in this literature indicates that the alignment with business models, the effect of open innovation in the cases such as SMEs, service business, IP regimes, and the required tools, are among the most important research lines in this respect in the future.

Nowadays, companies for adapt to changing conditions in the market and against competitors, to provide their survival in turbulent environment and better performance, are seeking to gain competitive advantage. Flexibility is considered as a competitive capability and makes companies respond to unforeseen situations and fast changing environments. The aim of this study is investigating the impact of strategic flexibility on market performance with mediating role of open innovation. In this paper, the external technology acquisition and external technology exploitation is considered as two aspects of open innovation. Current study in terms of purpose is applied and is descriptive-survey. To evaluate the hypothesis of 80 SMEs in the industrial zone of Rasht were examined and data analysis by structural equation modeling based on partial least squares (PLS) was carried out. The results showed that strategic flexibility has significant and positive impact on open innovation and also open innovation has significant and positive impact on market performance.
