Abstract
In the era of digital transformation, the dynamics of the competitive environments of the banking industry have made adopting agile approaches in marketing a strategic necessity for the survival and growth of organizations. The present study was conducted with an applied-developmental approach and aimed at designing and explaining a paradigmatic model of marketing agility based on digital transformation in the banking industry, focusing on Saderat Bank of Iran. From a methodological perspective, this study is classified as a non-experimental, descriptive-survey, and cross-sectional study. The participants included theoretical experts (university professors in the fields of marketing management and information technology) and empirical experts (senior managers and marketing officials of Saderat Bank), who participated in this study using theoretical sampling until theoretical saturation was reached, and finally 12 people participated in this study. Research data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using the data-driven method and Maxqda software. Next, based on the findings of the qualitative analysis, a fuzzy Delphi questionnaire consisting of 11 dimensions and 70 items was developed and used to validate and screen the indicators. The results of the analyses showed that causal conditions (organizational agility, human resource agility, and new digital approaches) affect the central phenomenon (marketing agility). Also, contextual conditions (digital transformation in the banking industry) and intervening conditions (barriers to digital banking) are effective in developing digital marketing strategies, and these strategies will ultimately lead to outcomes such as improving financial performance, promoting innovation, developing the banking industry, and improving customer experience.
