Abstract
Today, the development and application of new technologies has become one of the key factors in the transformation of advanced industries, especially in the biotechnology industry, which plays a fundamental role in areas such as health, agriculture, and the environment. With the emergence of the Fifth Industrial Revolution and its emphasis on the convergence of advanced technologies with a human-centered and sustainable approach, the need to identify and evaluate existing technologies in this industry has become more important than ever. For this purpose, initially, the indicators and options of the research problem were identified according to the research literature and expert opinions. Then, the weights of the criteria were calculated using the Fuzzy Focal Point method and the results showed the high importance of the criteria of technology availability, flexibility, financial issues, safety, automation level, capacity recovery capability, and pollution level.Next, the ranking of the options was performed using the fuzzy TOPSIS approach, where DNA synthesis options with integrated quality control and sequence verification, as well as integrated gene synthesis platforms, were introduced as the most important options. . Evaluating the performance of the proposed model through comparison with other methods available in the research literature indicated high reliability and validity of the results. The research findings can be an effective guide for managers and policymakers to guide the development and investment path in the biotechnology industry in a targeted and efficient manner by better understanding key technologies.
