Abstract
The emergence of artificial intelligence and growing emphasis on social responsibilities have intensified the need to revise banking business models. Cooperative banks, due to their unique socio-economic nature, face distinct challenges in this domain. This research aims to design an integrated smart social banking framework for cooperative banks. The methodology employs a qualitative meta-synthesis approach, utilizing Python programming language (version 3.10) and specialized data analysis libraries to systematically analyze and synthesize findings from previous research. The research population comprises scientific articles published in credible international and domestic databases from 2014 to 2024. From an initial pool of 298 articles, 185 were excluded after title and abstract screening due to insufficient relevance. Subsequently, 77 articles were eliminated following full-text review and quality assessment, leaving 36 articles for final analysis. The meta-synthesis identified 9 core dimensions (AI Technology and Infrastructure, Social Development and Community Empowerment, Financial and Economic, Managerial and Strategic, Legal and Regulatory, Banking Products and Services, Customer-Centricity and User Experience, Risk and Security, and Sustainability and Sustainable Development), 48 components, and 187 concepts. The proposed model offers a comprehensive framework for successful implementation of smart social banking in cooperative banks by taking an integrated approach to technical, social, financial, and strategic dimensions. The primary contribution of this research lies in identifying and explicating the interconnections between various dimensions while providing operational solutions tailored to cooperative banks' specific needs and constraints. This framework can guide bank managers in implementing intelligent solutions, assist policymakers in developing regulatory frameworks, and support IT specialists in creating localized solutions aligned with cooperative banks' unique requirements.
